In order to schedule posts you don't need the Typepad Pro account, Plus will do, at $8.95/mo.
The only difference between Plus and Pro is that Pro allows full customization of all template design elements and hosting unlimted blogs in one account, Plus only allows three blogs. Domain mapping is also available from the Plus level. However the real "killer" why I want to use Typepad is their File Manager where I can create directories and upload files. just like a regular hosted website. Cant't do that at wordpress.com or blogspot.com.

Actually you can own your links with blogger too. You can have them host your domain or you can have them ftp your blog to your host. In both cases you get mysweetdomain.com/link

Reeds last blog post..Work Your Plan

I agree with everything you've said, but link ownership is a biggie for me. I can own myblog.com and myblog.com/mypost/whateverpostnameis. It's mine. I can move it. I can do whatever I want with it.

myblog.typepad.com and myblog.typepad.com/mypost/whateverpostnameis is not mine. Sure I can get a "copy" of my posts and place them somewhere else, but I lose link juice, link love and the reasons why SEO on blogs is so great. :)

You need to put up packages. Seriously. Then I can refer people over here.

And I set up a blogger blog last night to see what I can do with it. You can autopost now.

As much as I love selfhosted wordpress, I have to admit, that if someone wanted something other than a self hosted account, I would tell them to use blogger and not wordpress.com. You can do so much more with blogger than you can do with wordpress.com... sad, isn't it?

Heather @ Desperately Seeking Sanity's last blog post..If the TV gig doesn’t work out…perhaps I’ll be a plumber…
