You’ve voiced exactly what I feel. I struggle to balance my need for validation and my obedience to God’s call to write. I pray that I follow His plan whether it’s to write a blog for 20 people or publish a book for thousands. Pride and ambition are definite stumbling blocks to allowing “thy will be done.” How I wish I were better at avoiding them!

Oh, Lisa - isn’t that exactly it? We get comfortable. I picked up my Bible this morning for the first time in weeks. It is ridiculous how desperate I have to be to do that. Becki and I were talking about something similar last night when it came to the Rev when we both stated that we were no longer hung up on how many members that we have.

The reason being? We started the Rev to help people. We started the Rev to make a difference. We DID NOT start the Rev to get rich.

When we stop and focus not only on God but the REASONS that you began doing something (espescially if it’s something that you were called to do) then God will bless the rest… and ALWAYS remember… it doesn’t have to be perfect to receive a blessing.

Lisa, you have a wonderful tool here to reach the masses. Over time they will come. And as I told Cathy yesterday on an unrelated topic, I’m a firm believer that God hides us until He’s ready for us. For all you know, you’re in hiding now… and when He brings you out, this blog is going to be bigger than big.

It already is bigger than those mega bloggers for some. Sometimes it’s not about quantity… it’s about quality.
